This one’s for you!

Can you believe the stories written in the Bible, Qu’ran, and Torah were based on the original 1001 Nights?

I didn’t know that, either.  Here’s an old school documentary by Al Fry with information you won’t find anywhere else.

Well, I didn’t have two hours to watch this, but I’m wondering if there’s a reason the information is only found in this documentary? Could it be that it’s false? I’m sure atheists would be all over this if it was true, proving their point that religious documents are fake.

As I understand it, the earliest existing 1001 Nights documents are dated around the 14th century, but some scholars think they date back to the 9th century.

Islam dates back to the 7th century with Muhammad.

The Old Testament portion of the Bible dates from 12th century to 2nd century BC and the New Testament portion of the Bible is dated from 50-90 AD.

This is only one of Al Fry’s documentaries. It doesn’t just talk about 1001 Nights, but also touches upon other myths and legends way older than them. You would have to watch it to understand what I’m talking about, but it’s basically just one story that has been retold over and over again. Each time it is retold, the names are changed, so that it appears to be a new story, but it’s the same stuff.

The stories of the Old Testament, New Testament, the Qu’ran, the Bhagavad-Gita, Jesus, Krishna, Moses, Noah, the Flood, etc. They are literally just stories rehashed from even older ones. How much truth exists in them depends solely on how many things have been changed from the original story.

Not news. All were later writings, elements of truth were taken into and expanded to become what they are.

Go back to the beginning, for in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Same God loves you passionately, and is calling you to His heart, His name is Jesus and He thinks you are absolutely lovely. He’s inviting you to His wedding, and inviting you to be His bride.

No thanks, kinziblogs, I’m already getting married to someone else.

Lol….I remember hearing about this I think in one of the earlier Zeitgeists, or some similar documentary, where the narrator basically rattles off all of these stories about ‘this guy was called the alpha and the omega, born to immaculate conception’ etc. When hearing something like this, that the Jesus Christ story is nothing but another iteration of this story, it really forces me to question religious doctrine…

Do you think Jesus wants to marry me too??

  6. dianarn said,

Of course. You can be Jesus’ bride, too! :)
